Cape Girardeau Regional Airport is three miles from Semo Port, and new State Highway AB provides a direct link. The primary runway is 6,500 feet long, has a 215,000 pound capacity, high intensity lighting, and an instrument landing system (ILS). The secondary runway is 4,000 feet by 100 feet with medium intensity lighting. A control tower assists flights and enhances safety.
The terminal building was completely renovated in 1993. It features a comfortable waiting area, offices, restaurant, gift shop, and rental car agencies.
Great Lakes Airlines operates commuter air service between St. Louis and Cape Girardeau. Present schedules provide two trips each way daily. Phone 800-554-5111.
