City Water

Water is provided by the City of Scott City, which operates the Port Water System under a lease agreement. Water mains are 10″ PVC on a looped system which is less than 15 years old. Storage tanks of one million gallons capacity serve the system, with one 250,000 gallon tank located at the Port and a 750,000 gallon tank nearby in Scott City. Three wells serve the system, and a new well is to be completed in early 1999.
